The Vendetta Group has partnered with film financier No Day Studios to produce the psychological thriller film “Malus” in Upstate New York in Q3 of 2024.

Cannes Film Festival alum Sigurd Culhane, a Rochester native and Vendetta client, is set to direct the thriller penned by Jesse Wheeler.

 

“MALUS is a dark psychological thriller about the old ties from which we can’t break free no matter how much we believe we’ve outgrown them. It’s about the cycle of abuse and how it transforms itself to continue. It’s about the brevity of life and the race to stay ahead. It’s about the invigorating temptation of infidelity. And it’s about pouring your blood into something you love.”

 

Jasper Grey, Jesse Wheeler and Brent Goshen from The Vendetta Group will serve as Producers. Jason Veltz and John Larimer from No Day Studios, as well as Liz Buda will serve as Executive Producers.

This project marks the first in a new slate deal forged between The Vendetta Group and No Day Studios to develop, finance, and produce films independently of the studio system.
